Message from the Founder

Education is not just about collecting information, it is the preparation for life. Education is knowledge bound by wisdom and ethics. It devlops students personalities, moulds their character and devlops mental skills to help them deal with the problems and challenges of today's complex world. One of the most important character traits in our youth during education that needs to be inculcated is a subtle inclusive attitude about service before self. The goal is not only to make them successful in life, but also to make them aware of their duties and responsibilities towards their colleagues. It is with this vision that the North Point Nursing Institute was established.

Message from the Principal

Nursing, like medicine, is a noble profession. Out of all the professionals working in a healthcare setting, the nurse happens to have the most direct and prolonged interaction with the patient. Nurses are responsible for the day-to-day care of patients. the most important goal of nursing education at prestnt is to prepare students to meet the needs of the times. The current halthcare industry is dealing with a chronic dearth of nurses, which has been exacerbated by the pandemic. Our endeavor is to encourage every students to realize their true potential by adopting a practical and scientific approach to learning. All the rote learning in the world wll fail when faced with a real-life medical emergency.

Hostel Facility :

• Well ventilated big rooms are provided for accommodation of student along with separate bed,tables, chairs, cupboards for each student.
• Food prepared at campus canteen.
• 24 hours water supply including safe drinking water, security guard is provided in the hostel.

Hostel Rules & Regulations:

• It is mandatory for all students to reside in the hostel provided by the institution.
• Students are not allowed to keep any valuables (jewelry, laptop, camera etc.)in the hostel. Students are solely responsible for their belongings.
• Hostel articles must be returned at the time of final departure from the hostel. Clearance will be given after that.
• Rooms and beds shall be allocated by the Hostel Superintendent and no personal preferences will be entertained.
• Overall cleanliness of the room is to be maintained by the students residing in the hostel.
• Students are not permitted to use any electrical appliance other than light and fan, which are provided from the hostel.
• No visitor is allowed in students’ room.
• Fans and lights to be switched off before leaving the rooms.
• Students should maintain the meal off register for not taking hostel meal on the day of day pass.
• Smoking, alcohol, gutkha and other substance are strictly prohibited.
• Strict action will be taken against the students if rules are violated.
• Ragging of any kind within the institution and within the hostel are strictly prohibited.
• Serious disciplinary action will be taken against the student found absent in the hostel without any information.

B.SC IN NURSING

Eligibility : 12th pass with physics, chemistry, biology, age 17 to 35 years (for girls)

Bachelor of Science in Nursing or B.Sc Nursing is a 4-year undergraduate course, the minimum eligibility criterion for which is the successful completion of 10+2 level of education in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology with 50 % for all categories.

B.Sc. Nursing is a four-year undergraduate programme focused on developing critical care advanced thinking skills proficiency and values necessary for the practice of professional nursing and midwifery as mentioned in the National Health Policy 2002. The programme is streamlined to enable students to address the health needs of the nation society and individuals. The programme prepares students to become responsible citizens by following a code of moral values and conduct at all times while fulfilling personal social and professional responsibilities to respond to national objectives. B. Sc. Nursing programme involves classroom study projects and assignments that enable students to gain practical knowledge of their learning. After the completion of the programme the students are required to undergo a six-month internship to experience the real-world clinical settings and learn from them. Candidates looking for more knowledge in the same field may pursue higher education for challenging career opportunities.

GNM IN NURSING

Eligibility : 12th pass with any stream, age 17 to 35 years (for girls)

GENERAL NURSING MIDWIIFERY (GNM): Minimum and Maximum age for admission will be 17 and 35 years respectively. 10+2 class passed or its equivalent preferably with Science (Physics, Chemistry and Biology) subjects or Arts with aggregate of 40% marks and 35% marks for SC & ST category only.
