Midnapore Medical College and Hospital is affiliated to West Bengal University of Health Science and it imparts course in the field of medical science, at the undergraduate level With increased demand of doctors for increasing population, the West Bengal thought to make a medical college in district of Paschim Midnapur, in this respect the Midnapur Sadar Hospital was consider to be converted to Midnapur medical College with necessary extension, alteration and additional construction. Since 2003 with enormous effort of the Govt of W.B, the faculties. medical officers, the staffs of categories and the people of Midnapur, the first batch of student were admitted in first year MBBS course, in August 2004, under the West Bengal University of Health Science, with the permission of Medical Council of India, New Delhi.
Since 2005, every year the College is progressively improving in all facets of development and reached a prestigious shape enriched with modern equipments, specialized departments, faculties and facilities for the service of the people. Location of the college is almost in the heart of the Midnapur town, about four kilometers away from the railway station.

The course curriculum is great and the faculty members are very
friendly they help a lot and guide us in a very good manner.
Placements from our college is average.almost 55% students get
placements in campus interview.others do not qualify in the
campus.some of our college teachers are the members of our
college placement cell.they try their best for every student's
placements.
My faculty right from the first semester took us for plenty of
visits to various hotels as well as to a food truck factory.
Well experienced and talented faculties are there in our
college.their way of teaching and devotion to study is
commendable.they want to give every student propers training and
teaching so that after passing out they can easily get their
desired job.
No i am not residing in the hostel, but the hostel here is
awesome , the rooms are provided on sharing basis and the rooms
are air-conditioned ,food provided in hostel is also very good.
Paschim Medinipur Medical College And Hospital ,kolkata is a good institute for
engineering.i got admitted in the college this year ,the college
is having well equipped labs.
