It was on 15th August 2003 our journey began. Since then, Bhagabati Devi Primary Teachers’ Training Institute, an illustrious name in the realm of elementary teacher education programme goes on inspiring the students, not only that but also, upgrading the students from an awkward position through proper training.

Establishment
Primary education should be the crying need of our country. And if it be so, it is important to know that elementary educational status is about to be at stake. Just to wriggle out of the situation, our institution began its journey with some aims and objectives from 15th August 2003 onwards. The institution is located at Baramohanpur, P.O. Khakurda, Dist. Paschim Medinipur, 721445, West Bengal
Aims and objectives:
1. To make the teachers well trained for elementary education.
2. To improve the elementary educational status of the rural primary schools.
3. To thrive social, economical and cultural atmosphere.
4. To uplift the mental status and hygiene of the students.
5. To evolve individual skill of the teachers.
6. To upgrade cultural, educational and health awareness among general people.
7. To memorize the important days and personalities through celebration.

Inauguration:
It was on 15th August 2003 that a new history was heralded at Khakurda, Paschim Medinipur. On the initiative of Bhagabati Devi Nari Kalyan Samity (S/96277,1999-Khakurda) this primary teachers’ training institute was inaugurated by Anandadev Mukhopadhay (Vice-Chancellor of Vidyasagar University), in presence of Prof. Sri Swapn Kr. Sarkar (Secretary, West Bengal Board of Primary Education), Apurba Nandi (Professor of Medinipur Medical College), Sri Gorachand Das (President of West Bengal Board of Primary Education), Mrs. Usha Mishra (Secretary of Bhagabati Devi Nari Kalyan Samity) and Siddhartha Sankar Mishra (Lecturer- In-Charge of this College).

The course curriculum is great and the faculty members are very
friendly they help a lot and guide us in a very good manner.
Placements from our college is average.almost 55% students get
placements in campus interview.others do not qualify in the
campus.some of our college teachers are the members of our
college placement cell.they try their best for every student's
placements.
My faculty right from the first semester took us for plenty of
visits to various hotels as well as to a food truck factory.
Well experienced and talented faculties are there in our
college.their way of teaching and devotion to study is
commendable.they want to give every student propers training and
teaching so that after passing out they can easily get their
desired job.
No i am not residing in the hostel, but the hostel here is
awesome , the rooms are provided on sharing basis and the rooms
are air-conditioned ,food provided in hostel is also very good.
Bhagabati Devi Primary Teachers Training Institute ,kolkata is a good institute for
engineering.i got admitted in the college this year ,the college
is having well equipped labs.
