About Sanaka Educational Trust’s Group Of Institutions (SETGOI) :
As a unit of Sanaka Educational Trust founded in the year 2006, the umbrella institution SETGOI (formerly known as Institute of Engineering & Industrial Technology) was founded in 2008 housed in a lush green campus encompassing 34 acres of land located in the centre of Durgapur, the Ruhr of India.
During the last one and half decade, SETGOI emerged as the first AICTE approved integrated campus in West Bengal offering programmes in multiple disciplines including Engineering, Architecture, and Pharmacy. While Engineering programmes were offered right from 2008 as approved by AICTE, Rani Rashmoni School of Architecture (RRSA) was set up in 2011 as one of the first private Architecture colleges in West Bengal with due approval of AICTE and Council of Architecture (CoA), New Delhi. Pharmacy programme approved by AICTE and Pharmacy Council of India (PCI) commenced from the year 2019.
With over 2000 students on campus, SETGOI has a distinct focus on catering to the dynamic needs of the society and industry through innovative approaches towards grooming the future workforce of the country. The Institution vouches for industry-focused programs, rigorous scientific ventures, and multidisciplinary creativities to expand the boundaries of education, research and innovations with the support and guidance of its esteemed faculty.

INTRODUCTION TO THE UNDERGRADUATE PROGRAMME
The field of Pharmaceutical Technology serves as a link between medicine and engineering. It is concerned with the topics that link innovation to the field of medicine. Pharmacy encompasses everything from molecular research to the formulation of novel medications. Pharmacology, Pharmaceutics, Anatomy and Physiology, Pharmacognosy, Pharmaceutical chemistry, Pharmaceutical analysis, Biotechnology, Microbiology are some of the important topics in Pharmaceutical Technology. In just four years, B.Pharm students are exposed to 20 distinct disciplines, giving them the dimension and chance to explore several types of professional opportunities. Pharmacy provides students with opportunities, whether it is in the realm of research or in the realm of employment exposure.

Eligibility
B. Pharm.: Candidate seeking admission in the Institute through WBJEE or JEE MAIN examination with valid rank and required marks in ‘10+2’ level or equivalent examination from any recognized Board / University. In B. Pharm. course, 90% students of approved intake capacity will be admitted on the basis of merit position secured by the candidate in the Joint Entrance Examination of the State. Students on the basis of merit position in JEE MAIN may also be admitted up to 10% of total intake. Candidate should satisfy the stipulated standard of physical fitness with good mental and physical health.
B. Pharm. (Lateral Entry): Diploma holders in Pharmacy qualifying in JELET exam (conducted by West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination Board) are eligible on the basis of merit position for admission in the 3rd semester (2nd year) of B. Pharm. course. Candidate should satisfy the stipulated standard of physical fitness with good mental and physical health.
COURSES AND ELIGIBILITIES:
B. Pharm.
Pharmacy
Candidate must have passed ‘10+2’ examination with physics, Chemistry, Mathematics / Biology as compulsory subjects with individual pass marks (in both theory and practical wherever applicable) in all the three subjects as stated above in regular class mode.
Must have obtained at least 45% marks (40% for SC, ST, OBC-A, OBC-B and PWD candidates) in the above three subjects taken together.
Must have passed English in ‘10+2’ examination with at least 30% marks.
The Board of the said Qualifying examination must be recognized by the Central Government or State Government concerned. However as per the rules of the concerned Regulatory Body, the students passing ‘10+2’ qualification from non-formal and non-classrooms-based schooling such as National Institute of Open schooling, open school system of States etc. shall not be eligible for admission in B. Pharm. Course.
The lower age limit is 17 (seventeen) years as on 31.12.2022. There is no upper age limit.

Pharmacy
A candidate who wishes to pursue a higher course in Pharmacy with D. Pharm. qualification is eligible to take admission in the B. Pharm. course through lateral entry (JELET) (conducted by WBJEEB). The B. Pharm. lateral entry helps the candidates to take direct admission to B. Pharm. course in the second year. Such candidates can be turned into Pharmacy Graduates with three years of further studies. If a candidate wants to get admitted to the 2nd year of B. Pharm. (i.e. lateral entry), he must have passed D. Pharm. from a PCI approved Institute. The candidates should have secure at least 60% marks in their three-years diploma programme.

The course curriculum is great and the faculty members are very
friendly they help a lot and guide us in a very good manner.
Placements from our college is average.almost 55% students get
placements in campus interview.others do not qualify in the
campus.some of our college teachers are the members of our
college placement cell.they try their best for every student's
placements.
My faculty right from the first semester took us for plenty of
visits to various hotels as well as to a food truck factory.
Well experienced and talented faculties are there in our
college.their way of teaching and devotion to study is
commendable.they want to give every student propers training and
teaching so that after passing out they can easily get their
desired job.
No i am not residing in the hostel, but the hostel here is
awesome , the rooms are provided on sharing basis and the rooms
are air-conditioned ,food provided in hostel is also very good.

engineering.i got admitted in the college this year ,the college
is having well equipped labs.

Yes, we provide soft skills and domain skills training to our students so that they can perform well in campus placement interviews. This is offered from 1st semester to 6th semester under our unique programme called Career Excellence (CarE). Qualified and trained faculty provide Career Guidance and helps students to enhance their employability skills. Our Institute organizes such events that provide a platform to the students to hone their oral as well as written communication skills. Mock interviews are often conducted to prepare the students to confidently face the interviews.
Student activities are regularly conducted under the mentorship of Dean, Student Affairs. Athletics, games, technical and cultural events are promoted.
