The Durgapur School of Nursing (DSN) is located in the premises of Durgapur Steel Plant Hospital under Steel Authority of India Ltd. It has unique infrastructure, which includes large Class Rooms, Laboratory, Library, Seminar Hall, Computer Centre, Common Room, Hostel Accommodation, Kitchen, Dinning, Tennis Ground, Physical Fitness Centre etc. It is located within 50 meter of DSP hospital at Durgapur Steel Plant Township.
Durgapur Steel General Hospital under SAIL is having a capacity of 640 beds with all modern facilities like ICU , CCU , Medical, Surgical, Orthopaedic, Paediatrics, Neo-natal, Dialyses, Modern O.T.s, Eye, Cornea Grafting , Radiotherapy, C.T. Scan Dental, Occupational Health Services, Specialised Burn Unit, Blood Bank, Eye Bank, Physiotherapy Clinic, etc. Apart from these, the hospital is well equipped with investigative department. In addition of rendering medical services to the employees and their dependents of Durgapur Steel Plant and Alloy Steels Plant, DSP Hospital Renders services to employees and their dependents of other PSUs and Corporate houses and also to members of public.
Main Objective of this school is to organise 3 and 1/2 year 'A' class Diploma course in General Nursing and midwifery and thereby to create awareness and skill of girl students in nursing the patients. This School Has got Affiliation both from the west Bengal Nursing Council and Indian Nursing Council.
Durgapur school of Nursing, Durgapur established since, 2009 is managed by a registered Trust named Durgapur Steel City Society for Education. The fee structure is very reasonable matching with the motto of DSN that is ‘Education for all. The Trust achieved the task of establishing this Institute as a centre of excellence.
Candidates have to present their government issued caste certificate during the WB ANM & GNM Application process. They have to be a citizen of India and have domicile in West Bengal. It is mandatory to have a high school passing certificate in the science stream. The minimum required marks at the 10+2 level is 45%.

ADMISSION PROCEDURE IN GNM COURSE FOR THE YEAR 2022-24:
Durgapur School of Nursing (DSN) shall wait till we receive the names of Students allotted for DSN by West Bengal Joint Entrance Board (WBJEB).
Candidate must telephone to any of the following numbers before proceeding to DSN. - 9732348583, 9434539400, 9434188785, 9434470946, 943467074, 7586058662, 8944030360, 9732133819.
Candidate must carry “YES” Upgradation or “NO” Upgradation Form downloaded from WBJEB.
Candidate must accompany Guardian and Mother during Admission Process.
Candidate to purchase our Prospectus and Form to apprise about Rules and Regulations of our School. Student and Guardian must give consent that she will abide by our Rules, Regulations and Discipline Norms during her stay at Hostel.
Formal Admission shall start from 29th November, Monday and will complete on 4th December, 2021.
During Admission, candidate to deposit Rs 2,20,000 by Demand Draft in favor of Durgapur Steel city Society for Education or to carry Multi city cheque book to be filled up at our school.
Admission Process shall start at 10 Am and to be completed by 2 PM from 29th Nov. to 4th December 2021.
Caste Certificate for specific quota must be issued by competent authority.
Following Documents in Original and One Xerox copy must be carried by the student seeking admission at DSN.

The course curriculum is great and the faculty members are very
friendly they help a lot and guide us in a very good manner.
Placements from our college is average.almost 55% students get
placements in campus interview.others do not qualify in the
campus.some of our college teachers are the members of our
college placement cell.they try their best for every student's
placements.
My faculty right from the first semester took us for plenty of
visits to various hotels as well as to a food truck factory.
Well experienced and talented faculties are there in our
college.their way of teaching and devotion to study is
commendable.they want to give every student propers training and
teaching so that after passing out they can easily get their
desired job.
No i am not residing in the hostel, but the hostel here is
awesome , the rooms are provided on sharing basis and the rooms
are air-conditioned ,food provided in hostel is also very good.
Durgapur School Of Nursing ,kolkata is a good institute for
engineering.i got admitted in the college this year ,the college
is having well equipped labs.
