Brainware University Kolkata, a part of a 34-year-old leading education group, Brainware of West Bengal, started with the aim of contributing to nation-building through research, innovation and quality education.
It is the brainchild of Mr. Phalguni Mookhopadhayay, its hands-on chancellor, whose acumen and vision have transformed Brainware University into one of the best crucibles of learning in a short period of five years.
“For over 34 years now, more than 2 lakh students have passed out from Brainware. Most of them are now well-established and thriving. Our aim has always been to make quality education affordable for students coming from all strata of the society as well as help them ease into successful careers of their choice. It still is,” the chancellor says.
Established in 2016 as a UGC-recognised, private state university in West Bengal, Brainware University offers over 55 PhD, PG, UG , Diploma and Skills programmes to over 10,000 students on its state-of-the-art, sprawling, green, ragging-free campus.
The university provides a well-stocked library with national and international journals, providing adequate resources to the students for academic pursuits. Education is incomplete without sports and recreational activities. Brainware also organizes seminars, workshops, fests to unleash the creativity of students. Eligibility
50% marks or equivalent grade in '10+2' board examination ( any discipline) and age between 17 to 35 years as on 31 st December, year of admission. Only female candidates can apply
A 45% or equivalent grade in the '10+2' examination with individual passing marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology. Candidates must have passed English in the (10+2) curriculum and be between the ages of 17 and 35 on December 31st of the year of admission. Only female candidates are eligible to apply.

The course curriculum is great and the faculty members are very
friendly they help a lot and guide us in a very good manner.
Placements from our college is average.almost 55% students get
placements in campus interview.others do not qualify in the
campus.some of our college teachers are the members of our
college placement cell.they try their best for every student's
placements.
My faculty right from the first semester took us for plenty of
visits to various hotels as well as to a food truck factory.
Well experienced and talented faculties are there in our
college.their way of teaching and devotion to study is
commendable.they want to give every student propers training and
teaching so that after passing out they can easily get their
desired job.
No i am not residing in the hostel, but the hostel here is
awesome , the rooms are provided on sharing basis and the rooms
are air-conditioned ,food provided in hostel is also very good.

engineering.i got admitted in the college this year ,the college
is having well equipped labs.
