Guru Nanak Institute of Pharmaceutical Science & Technology
Guru Nanak Institute of Pharmaceutical Science and Technology was established in the year 2005 under the aegis of Guru Nanak Education Trust with the aim to achieve excellence in academics and research. The institute is situated at Panihati, Sodpur, Kolkata-700114.
The Institute obtained statutory affiliation from West Bengal University of Technology (currently known as Maulana Abul Kalam Azad University of Technology), AICTE and Pharmacy Council of India (PCI). This is the first Autonomous pharmacy institute in Eastern India accredited by NAAC & NBA. The institute has consecutively ranked in National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) for last six years. In NIRF 2022 GNIPST achieved all India Rank 84 amongst Pharmacy colleges.
The Institute runs five post graduate courses in Pharmacy, respectively in Pharmaceutical Chemistry (started from 2011), Pharmacology (started from 2012), Pharmaceutics (started from 2013), Pharmaceutical quality assurance (started from 2020) and Regulatory affairs (started from 2020) with due affiliations from MAKAUT, AICTE and PCI.
The Institute has obtained additional accreditations from NAAC In March, 2016 valid till December,2025 with a CGPA of 2.7 in a scale of 4 with Grade B.
The UG-pharmacy program of the institute is accredited by National Board of Accreditation from July,2016. The accreditation has been renewed for another period of three years till June, 2022.
The Institute aim at all round development of their students whether it is academics or research. Students are encouraged to participate in Industrial internship and industrial visits every year. For the sake of excellence in research GNIPST has established Prof Acharya Prafulla Chandra Advanced research laboratory with the aid of high throughput instruments pertaining to Inter Disciplinary Research. Students are encouraged to publish research and review articles in reputed indexed journals. They take initiatives in presenting papers in various national and international conference.
GNIPST have active Training and placement cell who are always involved in rigorous training and placement activities. Students are placed in reputed Pharmaceutical, foodindustries, pathological laboratories and biopharmaceutical companies with fair pay scale. Students are sent to industrial training every year to improve their skill making them Job ready. Industrial tour is also conducted annually by the Training and Placement cell. Students have visited many parts of Sikkim, Himachal Prades, Visakhapatnam which are the hub of pharmaceutical industries.
The institute has a number of Memorandum of Understanding with national and international universities and industries of international repute.
In a nutshell GNIPST is a hub for all round development of the students making them a responsible individual of the society.

B.Pharm Course is a four-year-long course and is mainly divided into 8 semesters. Students during their course have to perform various practical’s and experiments. Institute provides smart and flipped classroom facilities for modern learning systems with smart board, online interactive facility that differentiate from other private B.Pharm private colleges. As an order of the day faculty members of GNIPST have been utilizing modern digital technology since two years much before the commencement of pandemic situation. Guidance through Mentorship is provided by the faculty members to the students throughout the period of their study in this institute, which is a prime necessity for their upbringing, growth & grooming. Research and practical Laboratories & Lecture Halls are well equipped with state-of-the-art modern instruments to make the students not only get enriched in their theoretical knowledge but also brush their hands on skill and make them ready for facing the outside world.

The course curriculum is great and the faculty members are very
friendly they help a lot and guide us in a very good manner.
Placements from our college is average.almost 55% students get
placements in campus interview.others do not qualify in the
campus.some of our college teachers are the members of our
college placement cell.they try their best for every student's
placements.
My faculty right from the first semester took us for plenty of
visits to various hotels as well as to a food truck factory.
Well experienced and talented faculties are there in our
college.their way of teaching and devotion to study is
commendable.they want to give every student propers training and
teaching so that after passing out they can easily get their
desired job.
No i am not residing in the hostel, but the hostel here is
awesome , the rooms are provided on sharing basis and the rooms
are air-conditioned ,food provided in hostel is also very good.
Guru Nanak Institute of Pharmaceutical Science and Technology ,kolkata is a good institute for
engineering.i got admitted in the college this year ,the college
is having well equipped labs.
