Foundation Stone of the 'Agragati Institute of Health Sciences Nursing Education Unit' was laid on 14-08-2021 at Rashpur, Amta, Howrah by Janab Javed Ahmed Khan, Hon'ble MIC Disaster Management & Civil Defence, Honourable Dr. Nirmal Majhi, MLA, Hon'ble Shri Samir Kumar Panja, MLA, Hon"ble Shri Sukanta Pal, MLA & popular singer and social activist Shri Nachiketa Chakraborty were present on the occasion.
'Agragati Institute of Health Sciences Nursing Education Unit' with around 3,592 S.Q.M of academic building fitted with state of the art amenities as per the guidelines of INC are ready along with a separate hostel building with all modern facilities at Rashpur, Amta. All the infrastructural facilities have been created by 'Agragati Institute of Health Sciences Nursing Education Unit' as per guidelines of INC and is now capable to commence above Degree Programmes on Nursing i.e. GNM and B.Sc (Nursing) 60 seats each from 2022-23 academic session following all the norms & guidelines laid down by the Indian Nursing Council.
As per the guidelines of INC we have already been tied-up with Mahabir Nursing Home. a 100 bedded multi speciality hospital as parent hospital which is just 4 (four) K.M. away from 'Agragati Institute of Health Sciences Nursing Education Unit' campus. This nursing home has all in house modern facilities like all pathological tests and radiological tests like X-ray, Citi scan etc.

It gives me immense pleasure to introduce this budding and prestigious Nursing institute in Amta, Howra Agragati Institute of Health Sciences Nursing Education Unit which has been the brainchild of Mr. Tapan Mandalji who is a stalwart in imparting affordable and quality education from Primary level to collegiate level for the local people.
It is a golden opportunity for the local students as well as students from outside Amta to get quality education and modern training in Nursing by well qualified faculty and modern amenities, infrastructure and co- curricular activities. Nursing education moulds the students not only as a competent, caring and compassionate nurse, but also helps in their overall personality development and make them responsible citizens.
Like cherry on icing it is indeed a blessing that this college is getting established in a rural area of Amta so that the students need not go too far away towns and cities to get admission in nursing colleges. .This will definitely cut the expenses of training.

The students will be given exposure to all these advanced techniques and different procedure of modern healthcare treatment. In addition to the above hospital Amta Rural Hospital (Govt.) our affiliated hospital where the trainee nurses will get exposure. In addition to the above the society has applied to Kolkata based Medical College & Hospital for clinical training.
Well developed community exposure in both urban & rural community centers will be provided to the students for practical community health and nursing experience.
Extensive library service together with systematic use of audiovisual aids are available to help the students in their learn process.

B.SC NURSING
1. Statement of Course :
I. Title of our Course : B.Sc. (Nursing) II. Seats : 60 (Sixty) III. Recognition & Affiliation : West Bengal Nursing Council, Indian Nursing Council.
2. Duration of the Course :
Four (4) years including internship.
3. Eligibility for Admission :
Must have cleared the class 12 board examinations from one of the recognised board education, in the stream of science with Physics, Chemistry and Biology along with English. Candidates will have to individually pass all the mentioned subjects. Rank in JENPAUH and through counselling.
4. Medium of Instruction :
The medium of instruction is Bengali and English.
5. Placement :
Suitable placement will be provided after the successful completion of the course.

General Rules & Regulations :
1. The discipline of the institute is to be strictly maintained. For breach of discipline, a student may be fined or expelled from the institute. In such cases, fees paid will not be refunded. 2. Institute will not be responsible for any delay or postponement of the examinations. 3. The Principal holds the right to change the timetable at any time. 4. Leave applications have to be approved and signed by the respective class teachers. 5. Applications should be signed by the parents / guardians. Guardians can sign only if parents are not alive. 6. In-House examination / tests will be compulsory for all except sick students with prior permission of the Principal. 7. 100 % attendance is essential in classes, demonstrations, practical classes, clinics & hospital training (night and day). 8. A student whose progress and conduct is considered unsatisfactory may be detained from attending classes, without any notice. 9. Students will not be allowed to entertain / meet their relatives during College hours, except emergencies (to be decided by the Principal / Vice Principal). 10. Parents as well as students will submit a combined affidavit that she will fully follow the above said rules and regulations. 11. Students will not be allowed to carry mobile phone in the classroom & hospital.
Uniform :
The uniform is compulsory in the institute as well as during clinical works in the hospitals.
Vacation & Holidays:
1. Annul Vacation - 8 Weeks per annum 2. Government Holidays - According to West Bengal University of Health Science guideline. Cancellation of Admission : The applicants admission can be cancelled if any false, incorrect or incomplete information has been submitted to the authorities. In such case fees paid will not be refundable.
Eligibility for Examination :
1. The applicants admission can be cancelled if any false, incorrect or incomplete information has been submitted to the authorities. In such case fees paid will not be refundable. 2. A candidate shall be eligible to sit for the examination if the Principal certifies that: 2.1. She has completed not less than eleven months of the course with minimum of 80 % of attendance and that her total performance has been satisfactory during that period. 2.2. A candidate must secure 50 % marks in internal assessment separately in each theory and practical and also in University examination. 2.3. The record of practical experience is 100 % completed.
Registration :
The students who are declared successful in the final year examination are eligible for registration with the West Bengal Nursing Council as Registered Nurse. Students should obtain " No Dues Certificate " from the College of Nursing before registration.
Rules & Regulations of the Hostel :
1. Students may stay in hostel during the training period. 2. Rooms should be kept clean and tidy. Students are fully responsible for any loss / damage of furniture / fixture allotted to them. 3. Proper locks should be used for cupboards and boxes. Jewellery and expensive items are not permitted in the rooms and the College authority shall not be responsible for any theft / loss or damage of students personal belongings in any manner whatsoever. 4. Wastage of water and electricity will lead to disciplinary action. 5. Students should come to the Hostel / Canteen in proper dress. 6. In case of sickness, students should report to the Principal / Warden. 7. No electrical cooking appliances or electric immersion rod for boiling water will be allowed in hostel room. Students are not allowed to use "Android" phone with internet connectivity. 8. Visitors are not allowed to go to the students room. 9. In case of gross misconduct, training can be terminated at any point of time during the academic year. In such case, fees paid shall not be refunded. Management is fully authorized to effect any change in rules and regulations at any time. 10. Hostel rules as declared by the management will be binding on the hostel residents from the date and time of allotment of the hostel seat. 11. Ragging in any form in Hostel or in College is strictly prohibited.
Anti Ragging Resolution :
Honble Supreme Court of India order for implementation of Anti-ragging recommendation of the Lyngdoh Committee - 02.04.2008 to implement UGC regulations, 2009 dt. 14.12.2009 - To have declaration letter from the students that if found guilty of ragging they will be rusticated from the college

The course curriculum is great and the faculty members are very
friendly they help a lot and guide us in a very good manner.
Placements from our college is average.almost 55% students get
placements in campus interview.others do not qualify in the
campus.some of our college teachers are the members of our
college placement cell.they try their best for every student's
placements.
My faculty right from the first semester took us for plenty of
visits to various hotels as well as to a food truck factory.
Well experienced and talented faculties are there in our
college.their way of teaching and devotion to study is
commendable.they want to give every student propers training and
teaching so that after passing out they can easily get their
desired job.
No i am not residing in the hostel, but the hostel here is
awesome , the rooms are provided on sharing basis and the rooms
are air-conditioned ,food provided in hostel is also very good.
