The responsibility of College in the context of changing scenario is not only confined to imparting education but also to forecast the future needs of economy. The National Knowledge Commission has also stressed that there is an urgent need for massive expansion in the field of higher education because the proportion of our population, in the relevant age group, that enters the world of higher education, is about 7% only, while in developed countries it is upto 85% and at the same time, it is important to raise quality of higher education. Keeping in view contemporary needs, also that higher education should be accessible to one and all. Rules and regulation:-

All student’s should be submitted their original doccuments for verification.
All student’s must be attained in their classes with their uniform. Without uniform no student will be allowed in the class room.
75% attendent must be present. Otherwise he/she will not attain their examination.
All college programme like notable day cellebration, annual excursion, annual function, saraswati puja, medical camp ,etc all students must be present with special role. These special programme attendent will be noted.
Respects all your teachers and senior. Otherwise showcause.
Respect your mother institute.
Tuition fees must be submitted 1st week of every month. Otherwise rs 10/day fine will be added.
Hostel security money should be paid before entering the hostel.
Hostel rent must be paid as tuition fees.
Our college is an iso certified. So cleaniness is a important matter. In this case student has a important role.
During library study they should maintain carefully their own book and keep silence.
In the nursing lab, they should carefully maintain manikin.
In case of breakdown all rules and regulation, college authority do not liable for rustication.

GENERAL NURSING & MIDWIFERY

GNM or General Nursing Midwifery is a three and a half-year diploma course in the field of Nursing. Students who wish to pursue GNM diploma can proceed after passing their class 12 exam with Science stream. The three year and half-year course includes six-months of mandatory internship. GNM diploma course is one of the sort out course which can be considered as a stepping stone towards making a career in the Nursing field. Graduates of GNM diploma can start their career by working with government and private hospitals and clinics.

ELIGIBILITY

The conducting body along with the Indian Nursing Council (INC) has set the eligibility criteria for the West Bengal GNM Nursing programme. Below are the criteria:

Candidates should have passed Class 12 from the West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education or from any recognized Council/Board securing a minimum of 40 per cent in aggregate.

The minimum age of the candidate should be 17 years and a maximum of 27 years.

The candidate should be an Indian national and a permanent resident of the District of West Bengal.

The candidate should be able to read, write and speak in Bengali or Nepali.

Vocational Agriculture or Vocational Home Science Students can also apply.

ADMISSION PROCEDURE

The process for GNM nursing admission 2022 follows the various steps mentioned below:

GNM Nursing Application : Nursing aspirants first have to begin with an online/ offline application.

Issue of Admit Cards : After the successful submission of application forms, the applicants need to downloaded admit cards to appear in the exam.

Appear for the Entrance Exam: It is necessary to appear for the entrance exam.

Result Announcement : After the successful conclusion of the entrance the competent authority will release the result based on the performance of the candidate in the entrance exam.

Release of Cut off List : The conducting body after releasing the result will release the cut off list, which is the minimum qualifying marks and candidates have to fulfil the requirement of complying with the cut off to secure GNM nursing admission.

Counselling : Based on the merit list, the counselling process for GNM Nursing will be conducted.

Seat Allotment : On the basis of counselling and the candidates’ score they will be allotted seats to their choice of colleges.

Reporting to the College : After seat allotment, candidates have to report at the institutes to further the admission process.
