Seacom Skills University is located in Birbhum District of West Bengal. Seacom Skills University is established under West Bengal Government’s policy (Vide Official Gazette Notification No. : 142-Edn (U) dated 31/01/2013), in line with the provisions under section 2(f) of the University Grant Commission (UGC) Act, 1956, as has been passed as Seacom Skills University Act, 2014 by the West Bengal Legislative Assembly (West Bengal Act VI of 2014) and has received the assent of the Hon’ble Governor of West Bengal on 11th April 2014 (Vide Official Gazette Notification no. 396-Edn(U) / OM-155L / 2012).
Growth and Genesis of the University
It is the only Skills University of the State but also provides General Arts, Fine Arts, Science, Commerce, Management, Law, Engineering, Pharmacy and Agriculture courses at undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral levels. The University has been functioning since 2014 at first with General and Engineering streams amidst rural Bengal. The University with a sprawling 50-acre green campus and state-of-the-art infrastructure, modern classrooms, well-equipped laboratory facilities and curriculum for the 21st century, endeavors to provide a better education environment by being inclusive and also help in the development of the area in a more sustainable way. In 2017, Schools of Agriculture and Pharmacy and in 2019 the School of Legal Studies were established. The University has now also started courses in Medical Technology. The University has achieved milestones in getting awards like ‘Best Private University of the Year’ from ASSOCHAM and ‘Best University in Holistic Education’ from News18 Bangla and Zee 24 Ghanta.
During the Corona pandemic Seacom Skills University has been on the forefront providing vaccination facilities and sanitizers to the local people. Environment and nature are the assets which need to be conserved in an era of Anthropocene. Seacom Skills University encourages students in that aspect by raising awareness. Seacom Skills University believes that both mental and physical development of the students is necessary and provides adequate sports facilities like grounds and equipment. Additionally, annual sports meets are organized as well as tournaments take place for students to impress with their sports skills.
Seacom Skills University aims to generate Employment as well as Employability through the initiatives of its Innovation and Incubation Centre (IIC). The University has collaborated with many international institutions by signing MOU with them. Foreign institutions that have MOUs with Seacom Skills University are George Mason University, Fayetteville State University, Near East University and Asia University. The Canada-India Centre for Excellence (CICE) at Carleton University will form a partnership with Seacom Skills University (SSU) to establish new initiatives related to skills development. The University has adopted five neighbouring villages and facilitates skill training workshops, small entrepreneurship development workshops and other activities as part of the District Annual Plan. The University is also developing 3D Printing Technology Lab through collaboration with University of Eastern Finland as part of its plan to make it a centre of excellence.

Eligibility
The Admission Cell is dedicated to facilitating the admission process ensuring that every deserving student receives justified opportunities based on their credibility. However, aspirants are required to cater to the eligibility criteria in order to ensure a seamless admission. Admission Cell acts as an interface between the students and the Institute by helping the students to understand the various career options and enhance them to make the right choice. Our dedicated team of Qualified Counselors and Counseling Staff play a pivotal role to address any admission related query via all sorts of medium (Whatsapp, telephone, email, physical presence), since it concerns the ‘course’ of the student’s life and career.
Admission via Central Counseling The approved intake seats are allotted by the State Counseling System based on WBJEE and WBJELET for the school of Engineering
Admission on the basis of Merit The admission to the various schools is subjected to direct admission on the basis of the Merit of the students. Admission can be secured by the applicant both in online and offline mode by filling up the form with their documents attached to it. The students are called for admission on the basis of merit. The students are also called on the basis of the availability of the seats for the particular school.

Click on the admission tab in the home page and input your credentials (Mobile No. & password created by you) and fill up the Application form carefully.
After completion of the form fill up the applicant is to wait for the verification process to complete then the Counselling staff will call upon the applicant for further procedure.
OFFLINE
For offline admission, visit the college campus with all the required documents and report to the Admission Cell, where necessary guidance will be provided to complete the entire process. To be noted: Kindly bring all the original documents mentioned above for verification.

The course curriculum is great and the faculty members are very
friendly they help a lot and guide us in a very good manner.
Placements from our college is average.almost 55% students get
placements in campus interview.others do not qualify in the
campus.some of our college teachers are the members of our
college placement cell.they try their best for every student's
placements.
My faculty right from the first semester took us for plenty of
visits to various hotels as well as to a food truck factory.
Well experienced and talented faculties are there in our
college.their way of teaching and devotion to study is
commendable.they want to give every student propers training and
teaching so that after passing out they can easily get their
desired job.
No i am not residing in the hostel, but the hostel here is
awesome , the rooms are provided on sharing basis and the rooms
are air-conditioned ,food provided in hostel is also very good.

Seacom Skills University is established by the trust, Seacom Groups, in the year of 2014 with an expensive 25 hectare (campus in adherence to the West Bengal Government’s policy and in line with the provisions of the University Grant Commission (UGC) Act under section 22, vides File No. F.5-1/2016 (CPP-I/PU) dated 4thFebruary, 20 has been passed by the West Bengal Legislative Assembly (West Bengal Act VI of 2014) and has received the assent of the Hon’ble Governor of West Bengal on 10th April 2014 (Vide Official Gazette Notification no. 396-Edn (U) / OM-155L /2012).
The Seacom Skills University bill was passed in the West Bengal State Assembly under the West Bengal State Govt. University Act VI of 2014 (means – approved by the State Government). The University is enlisted & recognised by the University Grant Commission (UGC), Govt. of India. One can check our enlisted University name in the UGC website (www.ugc.ac.in). BA-LLB & BBA-LLB courses are approved by “Bar Council of India” Pharmacy Council of India (PCI) approval for B.Pharm & M.Pharm. Courses. Engineering courses approved by AICTE.
Seacom Skills University is situated on Bolpur – Suri state-highway. Location-wise the campus has high advantages of inter-state and intra-state connectivity by rail, road and air-ways. It is 12 km away from nearest railway station Bolpur – Santiniketan and that too 7 km from Visva–Bharati University. The campus is well connected with headquarters (Suri) of Birbhum district, 28 km away from Suri. The nearest airport named as Kazi Nazrul Islam Airport situating at Andal, West Bardhhaman is 72 km away from the university campus. Geographically, the SSU campus is situated between 23042' N Latitude and 87038' E Longitude with an altitude of 58 m above MSL.
The admission process of Seacom Skills University is started for UG and PG courses in the month of April for every academic session. The last date to register for the online application form is at the prescribed date in the month of August.
We manage resources, both print and digital, to assist the campus community in using library resources, and provide a welcoming environment that facilitates collaboration and creativity.
Recruitment of expert faculty members is a continuous process. We have Ph.D. holder faculty members in maximum courses. Our faculty members have numerous years of work experiences in their fields and have got excellent teaching experiences. So, our students get expert guidance in theory and practical sections both.
Seacom Skills University have Anti–Ragging Cell and Anti-Ragging Squad with the representation from University & student’s side. Every student and guardian have to sign an Anti-ragging undertaking while taking admission.
