B.Ed. is a professional course that prepares teachers for middle level (Classes VI-VIII), Secondary (Classes IX-X) and Senior Secondary (Classes XI-XII) levels.
The main aim of Tarapith College of B.Ed. curriculum is to provide hands on experience to teacher trainees on accessing and processing information in improving the method of teaching and learning. The course curriculum at Tarapith College of B.Ed. is based on the guidelines of NCTE and WBUTTEPA. A. Candidates with at least of fifty percent mark either in the bachelor’s degree or in the master’s degree in Science/Social Science/Humanity/Bachelor of Engineering or Technology with specialization in Science and Mathematics with 55% marks or any other qualification equivalent thereto, are eligible for admission to the programme. B. The reservation and relaxation for SC/ST/OBC/PWD and other categories shall be as per the rules of the Central Government/State Government, whichever is applicable.

Likes
The course curriculum is great and the faculty members are very
friendly they help a lot and guide us in a very good manner.
Placements from our college is average.almost 55% students get
placements in campus interview.others do not qualify in the
campus.some of our college teachers are the members of our
college placement cell.they try their best for every student's
placements.
My faculty right from the first semester took us for plenty of
visits to various hotels as well as to a food truck factory.
Well experienced and talented faculties are there in our
college.their way of teaching and devotion to study is
commendable.they want to give every student propers training and
teaching so that after passing out they can easily get their
desired job.
No i am not residing in the hostel, but the hostel here is
awesome , the rooms are provided on sharing basis and the rooms
are air-conditioned ,food provided in hostel is also very good.
Tarapith College Of B.Ed. ,kolkata is a good institute for
engineering.i got admitted in the college this year ,the college
is having well equipped labs.
