Basantika College of Education is the flagship project of Basantika Memorial Education Society. The College has been approved by the National Council For Teacher Education (NCTE) and affiliated to the West Bengal Board of Primary Education & The University Of Burdwan And possesses a no objection certificate from State Council of Higher Education, Govt. of West Bengal. The National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) has granted approval for running the D.El.Ed. Course since 2014 vide code no. ERCAPP69/2012 & ERCAPP4146 with the Intake Capacity of 100 students and B.Ed. Course since 2018 vide code no. ERCAPP4124 with the Intake Capacity of 50 students.
The college is self financed Co-educational Institute having no discrimination of caste, creed and religion in admission. Reserved categories viz. SC, ST and OBCs are given relaxation.

The course curriculum is great and the faculty members are very
friendly they help a lot and guide us in a very good manner.
Placements from our college is average.almost 55% students get
placements in campus interview.others do not qualify in the
campus.some of our college teachers are the members of our
college placement cell.they try their best for every student's
placements.
My faculty right from the first semester took us for plenty of
visits to various hotels as well as to a food truck factory.
Well experienced and talented faculties are there in our
college.their way of teaching and devotion to study is
commendable.they want to give every student propers training and
teaching so that after passing out they can easily get their
desired job.
No i am not residing in the hostel, but the hostel here is
awesome , the rooms are provided on sharing basis and the rooms
are air-conditioned ,food provided in hostel is also very good.
Basantika College of Education ,kolkata is a good institute for
engineering.i got admitted in the college this year ,the college
is having well equipped labs.
